摘要: X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to study the hydrolytic aging of polypropylene according pHs degrading buffer solutions and time aging. The concentrated over periods 3, 6, 9 months for values pH close real environments use material (pH 7, 8). underwent an oxidation its polymeric matrix, independently range values, by production COH, CO, OCO groups. These chemical functions were observed in high resolution XPS spectra around C1s O1s peaks. Beginning with these results from mechanisms (photochemical, thermal, others) proposed literature, it then possible propose ageing polypropylene. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
