摘要: Abstract A new procedure for analyses tryptophan in proteins and glycoproteins is described. The method utilizes p-toluenesulfonic acid as the catalyst hydrolysis amino analyzer quantitative estimation of tryptophan. carried out 3 n containing 0.2% 3-(2-aminoethyl)-indole evacuated sealed tubes at 110° 22, 48, 72 hours. values obtained were close to expected integral recoveries all other acids comparable those observed after with 6 HCl. Since hydrolysate can be placed on ion exchange column, without prior removal solvent which required when HCl used hydrolysis, present more convenient than use This procedure, however, not designed that are grossly contaminated carbohydrates such feeds. limit carbohydrate content tolerate 2.0 mg 2 4 protein being hydrolyzed 1.0 ml acid.
