摘要: The function and evolution of eukaryotic cells depend upon direct molecular interactions between gene products encoded in nuclear cytoplasmic genomes. Understanding how these cytonuclear drive generate genetic incompatibilities isolated populations species is central importance to biology. Plants are an outstanding system investigate such effects because their two different genomic compartments present the cytoplasm (mitochondria plastids) extensive resources detailing subcellular targeting nuclear-encoded proteins. However, field lacks a consistent classification scheme for mitochondrial- plastid-targeted proteins based on with genomes products, which hinders efforts standardize compare results across studies. Here, we take advantage detailed knowledge about model angiosperm Arabidopsis thaliana provide curated database plant at level. CyMIRA (Cytonuclear Molecular Interactions Reference Arabidopsis) available http://cymira.colostate.edu/ https://github.com/dbsloan/cymira will serve as resource aid researchers partitioning evolutionary data into functional classes organelle interaction products.
