摘要: Abstract We apply the Canuto-Goldman (CG) analytical model to turbulence generated by class of instabilities which have a power-law growth rate. For case Rayleigh-Taylor (RT) instability we compare results with experiments Read and Youngs find reasonable agreement on scale size large eddies: they are predicted be 40% mixing length at least an order magnitude larger than smallest eddies. interpret this as chunk mix. Based develop simple for Richtmyer-Meshkov (RM) instabilities. The CG method applied our predicts that relative sizes eddies small do not vary more 60%. atomic Independently ratio turbulent directed energy is about 2% 9% RT RM respectively, varies square Atwood number in both cases.
