摘要: This paper reports the results of measurements "visual thickness," obtained from flow visualization experiments by schlieren method, initially plane interfaces between two gases under impulsive accelerations. It is found that when such are processed just one incident shock wave strength order Ms=1.5, their thickness increases slowly and they require observation over extended times; growth rates to slow down with time, in agreement simple theoretical arguments. The observed thin formed plastic membranes have been be substantially smaller than reported previous investigators. Also, thick, diffusively smoothed grow much more discontinuous ones do. In these experiments, it wall vortices wave/boundary-layer interaction at interface rapidly shock-processed bulk fluid. These structures can reduce apparent vorticity-induced strain impair relevant phenomena.
