摘要: The green stink bug, Acrosternum hilare (Say), occurs on several species of plants, among them basswood, buckthorn, and clammy locust, in Quebec Ontario. It is a migratory, univoltine, late-season pentatomid that appears June completes nymphal development September early October this region. mean fecundity, incubation period, longevity adults collected from buckthorn were studied the field laboratory; they represented overwintered, nonoverwintered, F 2 laboratory generations. Incubation embryonic development, egg fertility hatchability, eclosion, durations five stadia, mating behavior also studied. Temperature relative humidity directly influenced period development. Diapause not obligatory A. hilare; however, reproductive fecundity by photoperiod. bugs aestivate late either side leaves deciduous trees then migrate to overwintering sites under leaf litter, where remain November until April. Scelionid wasps parasitize eggs. In Quebec, genus only hilare. Comparisons with more southern populations show can adapt well different environmental conditions
