摘要: Spatial distribution in the two collembolan species Tomocerus minor and Orchesella cincta is greatly influenced by of environmental factors water food. T. totally restricted to water-saturated places, where it forms spaced-out aggregations. O. assembles places during ecdysis subsequent reproduction. This leads dense contact-aggregations. 'Dispersal' follows feeding period, probably caused food shortage, presence other and/or saturated conditions aggregation site. After feeding, orientation toward occurs means orthokinetic reactions aggregations are reestablished. The effect this 'periodical aggregation" for population discussed.
