摘要: Cheetahs should be conserved as drivers of biodiversity conservation and instruments nature based tourism development. Only 7 500 cheetahs  remain worldwide their numbers continue to decrease. The species is currently listed vulnerable, but close re-listing endangered. In South Africa the distribution has shrunk from covering whole country with exception forest a narrow band along Northern border Kgalagadi Kruger. addition, 38 fenced reserves have successfully reintroduced cheetah. main threats in are direct persecution, loss prey base habitat, illegal trade inbreeding. cause for persecution perceived conflict livestock wildlife  ranching
