摘要: During the years 1986 and 1987, 219 methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains were isolated in a Lisbon hospital. Antimicrobial susceptibilities genetic analysis showed that resistance to penicillin, methicillin, erythromycin (inducible phenotype), tetracycline, gentamicin, tobramycin, kanamycin, streptomycin, neomycin trimethoprim chromosomally encoded. Plasmid DNA was absent from 38.8% of isolates. Constitutive coded by three plasmids c. 2.3 Md, 2.0 Md 1.6 Md. Chloramphenicol mediated two 2.9 1.8 Small cryptic 1.65 1.2 1.0 also detected. The majority revealed antigen 17, lysed phages 75, 89 and/or 85, either devoid plasmid DNA, or possessed coding for constitutive plasmid. These observations cannot rule out MRSA isolates are homogeneous group might have common origin, seem be different recently other countries.
