摘要: Abstract An outbreak of ulcerative blepharitis associated with a specific clone Staphylococcus epidermidis was recorded in four different herds water buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) maintained at locations. That the isolates were same S. deduced on basis identity biochemical (STAPH-Trac, API), antibiogram, β-lactamase and slime production profiles. The syndrome characterized by appearance deep ulcers mainly around eyes. restriction to buffalo host complete, although cattle constituted about 17% total bovine (cattle buffaloes) population affected herds. All cases occurred over 10-day period attack rates ranged from 26.1% 66.7% Apparently, disease transmitted Index herd #2 through common milker #3 movement diseased buffalo. mode transmission #4 could not be determined. This report describes for first time implication coagulase-negative species any skin problem
