摘要: Cultures of Staphylococcus epidermidis from the eyes or nose same individual were compared by their antimicrobial phenotype, Staph-Ident (Analytab Products, Inc., Plainview, N.Y.) profile number, phage type, and plasmid to determine which parameters provide most compelling data for identity. None alone provided this type information. The conclusive identity strains resulted when two cultures had long identical similar profiles. presence a large, slowly migrating band(s) in culture that agreed with its pair all other and, likelihood, was strain casts doubt some instances on reliability identification an epidemiologic study.
