摘要: This study was aimed to investigate protein requirement for maintenance in swamp buffalo calves. Four male calves (12-18 months of age and 218 kg average body weight) were randomly assigned according a 4 x Latin square design receive four levels crude (5, 7, 9 11% CP). The experimental consisted periods 21-d, 14 days adaptation the last 7 sampling feces urine. Animals fasted measuring N-retention on experiment. N estimated by balance intakes inserted into regression equation. intake, excretion urine increased (P<0.05) with increase CP content diet. However, dry matter intake fecal not different. result indicated that nitrogen growing Thai is 0.75 g or 4.69 CP/ BW .
