Making a career of it? Hospitality students’ future perspectives: an Anglo-Dutch study

摘要: The aim of this research is to establish students’ perceptions the international hospitality industry and, specifically, likelihood student seeking employment in after graduating, region/country where intends employment, functional area/sector which most attractive and position expects hold five ten years graduating. based on a questionnaire administered at two universities offering management degrees, one UK, other Netherlands. main findings are that students have distinct preference for certain hotel departments, chains sectors industry. Most expect be general manager/corporate manager As degree progresses, perception deteriorates. paper concludes by examining issues relating image development curricula.
