摘要: Three groups of guinea pigs were exposed to 0.13, 1.01, and 5.72 ppm for 12 months. Pulmonary function measurements including tidal volume, respiratory rate, minute dynamic compliance, pulmonary flow resistance, carbon monoxide uptake indicated that no detrimental changes could be attributed sulfur dioxide. Hematology clinical chemistry normal, body weight, growth, survival not adversely affected. Microscopic examination the lung trachea revealed group had a lower incidence severity spontaneous disease normally present in those animals after period 52 weeks. liver alterations which characterized by an increase size hepatocytes accompanied cytoplasmic vacuolation.
