摘要: Abstract This study was carried out to evaluate car mechanics' short time exposure benzene and gasoline vapours. The measurements were performed during adjustment of direct fuel injection systems, carburettor system repairings. vapour concentrations from unleaded leaded compared different workphases. Biological monitoring used total benzene. mean level mechanics exposed vapours 8±6 cm 3 /m 26±19 gasoline. in breathing zone varied the detection limit (0.2 ) 1.3 3.7 average background concentration garages 6±7 (SD.) under limit. samples blood collected 2–9 hours after ranged 16 nmol/l. When approximated point according elimination rate constant levels 1.6 - 11.1 showed higher than expected corresponding air (TWA 8h ). Comparison if no dermal present calculated that motor repairing work may be most significant route (80%) exposure. Leaded caused
