摘要: Biofouling and Microbiologically Induced Corrosion (MIC) are problems of major concern in the power industry general. Coastal plants using seawater as cooling fluid highly exposed to MIC due high corrosiveness itself variety biofouling processes derived from natural microflora contained water. A brief overview on main aspects coastal is presented this paper. It covers basic characteristics corrosion their detection monitoring
