摘要: As part of the Australian spectroscopic dark energy survey (OzDES) we are carrying out a large-scale reverberation mapping study >= 500 quasars over five years in 30 deg(2) area Dark Energy Survey (DES) supernova fields. These have redshifts ranging up to 4 and apparent AB magnitudes between 16.8 mag < r 22.5 mag. The aim is measure time lags fluctuations quasar continuum broad emission-line fluxes individual objects order black hole masses for range active galactic nuclei (AGN) constrain radius-luminosity (R-L) relationship. Here investigate expected efficiency OzDES campaign its possible extensions. We expect recover similar 35-45 per cent quasars. AGN with shorter greater variability more likely yield lag measurement, less than or 6 months 1 yr be recovered most accurately. baseline predicted produce an unbiased measurement R-L relationship parameters H beta, MgII lambda 2798, C IV 1549. Extending by either increasing cadence, extending season, improving flux accuracy will significantly improve parameter constraints all emission lines.
