摘要: Tuber magnatum produces the world's most expensive truffle. This fungus very rare ectomycorrhizas which are difficult or even impossible to detect in field. A “real-time” PCR assay was recently developed quantify and track T. mycelium soil. Here, this technique used investigate spatial distribution of extra-radical soil productive patches its dynamic across seasons. study carried out four different natural truffle grounds located Italian regions. During fruiting seasons, amount significantly higher around points decreased going farther away from them. Moreover, inside underwent seasonal fluctuations. In early spring, than summer. summer, probably due hot dry season, decreased, whereas autumn it increased again concentrated at putative points. These results give new insights on ecology useful plan appropriate sampling strategy for evaluating management a ground.
