摘要: Background: Mosquito-borne diseases are a major public health threat in Iran. The objective of this study was to determine the fauna culicinae mosquitoes for future mosquito control programs. Methods: Three genera and eleven species subfamily Culicinae (Diptera: Culicidae) were collected by dipping technique identified Chabahar County, Sistan Baluchistan Province, southeastern Iran, during January, February, March 2007. Results: included: Aedes vexans (new occurrence record province), Culex arbieeni , Cx. bitaeniorhynchus deserticola hortensis perexiguus pipiens Cx. pseudovishnui pusillus quinquefasciatus sinaiticus theileri tritaeniorhynchus Culiseta longiareolata Ochlerotatus caballus Oc. caspius Uranotaenia unguiculata . Conclusion: Our observations indicate that, South Iran hot wet climatic conditions support persistence mosquitoes. As our study, regular monitoring area could be most useful mosquito-borne disease prevention.
