摘要: Mycobacteria are characterized by species- or type-specific glycolipid antigens. These generally of the following three types: trehalose-containing, acylated lipooligosaccharides (LOS), C-mycoside glycopeptidolipids (GPL), and phenolic glycolipids (PGL). To date, convenient mass spectrometric analysis intact form these complex has proved to be difficult. The successful plasma desorption mycobacterial LOS, GPL, PGL types is now reported, allowing location acyl residues providing oligosaccharide sequence molecular weight information.
