摘要: The processing-structure–property relationships of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs)/epoxy nanocomposites processed with a magnetic field have been studied. Samples were prepared by dispersing the nanotube in epoxy and curing under an applied field. nanocomposite morphology was characterized Raman spectroscopy wide angle X-ray scattering, correlated thermo-mechanical properties. modulus parallel to alignment direction, as measured dynamic mechanical analysis, showed significant anisotropy, 72% increase over neat resin, 24% sample tested perpendicular direction. A modest enhancement coefficient thermal expansion (CTE) direction also observed. These enhancements achieved even though not fully aligned, determined spectroscopy. partial is attributed resin gel time that faster than orientation dynamics. Thermal conductivity results are presented.
