摘要: The singlet-triplet absorption (T1←N) spectra of pyridine N-oxide, quinoline isoquinoline and acridine N-oxide have been observed by applying the oxygen-intensification technique. correlation between T1←N bands singlet-singlet (S*←N) these N-oxides has established discussed theoretically. lowest triplet state assigned as π-π* transition a 3La (CT) nature. obtained show blue shift in polar solvents. results compared with case S*←N transitions reasonably explained taking into account contribution from intramolecular charge transfer.
