摘要: Abstract Background Malnutrition is a pitfall in older adults despite its high prevalence and serious consequences. There are various screening tests however, none of them have been validated for our country. In this study, we aimed to test the hypothesis that MNA (long form MNA) MNA-SF (short applicable screen malnutrition Turkish geriatric patients. Materials methods Two hundred thirty-six patients aged 65 years over who were admitted medicine outpatient clinic enrolled study. Four groups data (anthropometric measurements, biochemical markers, three-day diet record assessment scales) recorded. Long short forms performed. different geriatricians interpreted patients’ nutritional status with aid aforementioned data. Patients divided into three which malnutrition, risk well-nourished. Concordance between two geriatricians’ clinical was analyzed by kappa statistics. Excellent concordance found, therefore first specialist's decisions accepted as gold-standard. A third physician performed long test. The clinician's results compared subsequently. Results decision coefficients 0.68 0.66, respectively. Sensitivity analysis indicated 92% sensitive 86% specific, whereas 94% 81% specific. Conclusion suitable adults.
