摘要: Objective—To investigate clinical use of proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ( 1 H MRS) and to compare metabolic brain bioprofiles dogs with without hepatic encephalopathy. Animals—6 encephalopathy 12 control dogs. Procedures—Conventional MRI single-voxel MRS were performed a 3-T magnet. Images for routine planes sequences obtained. Single-voxel was point-resolved sequence short echo time (35 milliseconds) voxel interest placement at the level basal ganglia. Metabolites included glutamine-glutamate complex (sum quantification glutamate glutamine), myoinositol, N-acetyl aspartate, total choline, creatine. Data analyzed postprocessing fitting algorithm software, metabolite concentration relative water ratios creatine as reference calculated. Results—Compared dogs, had specific changes, which significantly higher lower myoinositol. Choline aspartate concentrations also slightly in than No differences detected between groups. Conclusions Clinical Relevance— aided diagnosis findings supported assumption that ammonia is neurotoxin manifests via derangements. Use may provide clinically relevant information patients subclinical encephalopathy, equivocal results bile acids tests, or be helpful monitoring efficacy medical management.
