摘要: This article analyses a range of different meanings attached to images erotic dance, with particular focus on the 'impression management' (Goffman 1959) enacted by dancers. It presents visual analysis work female performer in lesbian dance venue UK. Still photographs, along observational data and interviews, convey complexity skill an dancer's diverse gendered sexualised performances. The highlights extensive 'aesthetic labour' (Nickson et al. 2001) 'emotional (Hochschild 1983) dancer must put constructing her 'self'.
