摘要: Abstract The layers of Almagre (iron-rich deposits) from Tenerife Island are the result thermal metamorphism soils in contact with lava flow (1073–1273 K). These small thickness relative to basaltic wash, interesting for geotechnical study, because stability deposits is determined by weakest element, this case Almagre, which acts as a sliding plane. maritime air over hillsides volcanic islands increases content cations ashes deposits. This modifies superficial properties material that composes substratum. modification affects retention water and cohesion making up deposit. results show presence sodium magnesium increased hydrophobicity material, had weak capacity strong at basic pH. When there iron solution, repulsion between particles greater than one obtained other studied electrolytes. Hence, deposit less stable, under saturated conditions constitutes an ideal layer landslides.
