Extended emission wavelength of random dye lasers by exploiting radiative and non-radiative energy transfer

摘要: We demonstrate long-wavelength operation (>700 nm) of random dye lasers (using a methylene blue dye) with the addition rhodamine 6G and titania, enabled by radiative non-radiative energy transfer. The pump is efficiently absorbed transferred to acceptors, support lasing in near infrared. optimum laser performance highest emission intensity lowest threshold was achieved for concentration as acceptor equal 6× (donor). Excessive levels increased broadened linewidth due quenching from re-absorption. This competition between donor transfer absorption loss fluorescence quenching. analyzed function density, consideration spectral overlap. dependence efficiency on obtained, parameters, including rate constants (K R K NR), are investigated using Stern–Volmer analysis. analysis indicates that dominant mechanism this system.
