摘要: The Drosophila bithorax complex (BX-C) controls segmental development by selectively deploying three protein products, Ubx, abd-A and Abd-B, within specific segments along the body axis. Expression of these products any one segment (or, more accurately, parasegment) is affected mutations clustered in a particular region BX-C. regulatory regions defined this genetic analysis span 20-50 kb there for each unit. Here we describe elements from several regions, identified fusion to Ubx-lacZ gene germline transformants. A small DNA fragment abx programs expression with an anterior boundary second thoracic (parasegment 5). This limit appropriate, since normally Ubx parasegment 5. Other BX-C that control parasegments 6, 7 or 8 contain similar program limits 8, respectively. These experiments define class anterior-posterior early appearance lacZ patterns embryos suggests role initial activation
