摘要: Objective: To describe social participation and identify factors that affect it in a nationally representative sample of adolescents young adults with autism. Methods: Longitudinal cohort study using data from the National Transition Study-2. The World Health Organization International Classification Functioning, Disability, model was used as dependent category. Results: A 725 youth autism representing weighted 21,010 individuals followed up for 4 years. mean age at first interview 15.4 years 19.2 follow-up. More than half follow-up had not gotten together friends previous year 64% talked on phone friend. Being employed or secondary education associated following (odds ratios): problems conversing (0.67), being teased (0.17), mental retardation (0.06), above poverty level (4.17), prescription medicine (4.11), general health status (2.30), parental involvement school (1.69) (all p < .001). Conclusions: Many become increasingly isolated. Although each aspect its own distinct pattern related to it, ability communicate effectively, less severe autism, coming an environment impoverished having parents who advocated were more positive outcomes. These provide insights into during their transition should ultimately lead interventions could improve those transitions.
