摘要: Background When assessing the feasibility of surveillance for pancreatic cancer (PC), it is important to address its psychological burden. The aim this ongoing study evaluate burden annual individuals at high risk develop PC. Methods This a multicenter prospective study. High-risk who undergo with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) were invited complete questionnaires assess motivations participating in surveillance, experiences participation, perceived PC risk, topics concern, distress. Questionnaires sent after intake participation (T1), first MRI EUS (T2), 1 (T3), 2 (T4), 3 years (T5) surveillance. Results In total, 140 out 152 returned one or more (response 92%); 477 analyzed. most frequently reported motivation was possible early detection (a precursor stage of) (95–100%). Only minority respondents experienced as uncomfortable (10% 11%, respectively), dreaded their next investigation less progressed. Respondents' worries decreased significantly over time, both anxiety depression scores remained stable low 3-year period follow-up. Conclusions The all assessments. Therefore, from point view, high-risk an program feasible.Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
