摘要: Abstract Aim The study focuses on the point prevalence of major depressive episode in Estonian population 2006 and assesses relationship sociodemographic factors, health status indicators, alcohol use, previous episodes to depression. Methods present was assessed within nationally representative, cross-sectional Health Survey (EHIS 2006), which non-institutionalized individuals aged 18–84 years ( n =6105) were interviewed using Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI). Results 5.6%. Depression higher among females, non-Estonian ethnic group, people older than 40 years, lower-income group. Conclusions comparable with results other surveys, being a little average.
