摘要: The role of GM-CSF in B cell (patho)physiology is unclear. Although cells can respond to GM-CSF, there controversy concerning the extent which various resting and activated types themselves produce this cytokine, possibility that it function an autocrine fashion has not previously been considered. aim present study was address these issues using hairy (HCs) chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells, two intrinsically mature malignant (with activation being more uniform pronounced HCs). Normal were used for comparison. Using a number techniques, we demonstrated constitutive production by all three showed cytokine biologically active. mRNA protein increased after PMA, highest HCs, suggesting level influenced activation. Because known be antiapoptotic myeloid blocking anti-GM-CSF Abs examine contribution autocrinely produced survival. marked reduction vitro survival normal promoting apoptosis. Taken together, findings suggest that, combination with other rescue factors, may contribute vivo.
