摘要: Background: Yohimbine hydrochloride produces marked behavioral and cardiovascular effects in combat veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In the present study, yohimbine was used as a probe of noradrenergic activity, meta-chlorophenylpiperazine (m-CPP) serotonergic activity. To our knowledge, this is first study to describe meta-CPP patients PTSD, compare these those yohimbine. Method: Twenty-six PTSD 14 healthy subjects each received an intravenous infusion (0.4 mg/kg), m-CPP (1.0 or saline solution on 3 separate test days randomized balanced order double-blind fashion. Behavioral measurements were determined at multiple times. Results: Eleven (42%) experienced yohimbine-induced panic attacks had significantly greater increases compared controls anxiety, panic, symptoms, but not measurements. Eight (31%) m-CPP-induced standing diastolic blood pressure. Yohimbine-induced tended occur different from m-CPPinduced attacks. Conclusion: These data suggest presence 2 neurobiological subgroups one sensitized system, other system.
