摘要: Abstract The effluents from industries are commonly non-biodegradable and produce various hazardous intermediate products by chemical reactions that have direct impact on environment. In the present investigation, a series of Co–Mg/AL ternary LDH catalysts with fixed Mg/Al ratio were prepared co-precipitation method. effect Co activity catalyst was monitored degradation methylene blue (MB) as model compound at batch level using bicarbonate activation H2O2 (BAP) system. On bench level, best CoMgAl-4 can completely decolorize both orange (MO) in short time, while bed, found stable for over 300 h nearly 100% decolorization excellent oxygen demand (COD) removal. No leaching detected entire experiment which may be accounted long life stability good catalyst. characterized AES, XRD, FTIR, BET, SEM its compositional, phase structure, optical properties, textural, surface morphology respectively. XRD analysis confirmed characteristic pattern hydrotalcite like structures without impurity phases. formation superoxide hydroxyl radical ROS proposed radical’s scavengers.
