摘要: The main objective of this study was to quantify the transverse maxillary dimensions using orthodontic cast models individuals with natural normal occlusion. Sixty-eight pairs were evaluated respective posteroanterior radiographies white adults (38 women and 30 men; mean age, 17 years 5 months). placed in Class I molar occlusion, on each pair, 4 points marked alveolar buccal ridge (2 premolar region 2 molar), determining upper lower interpremolar intermolar dimensions. variables analyzed 3 measurements, obtained from cephalometric models, showed no statistical differences. distance 57.20 +/- 2.60 mm; intermolar, 55.16 2.40 interpremolar, 42.17 2.19 mm, interpremolar; 39.67 1.77 mm.
