JINGHUA NO. 1——A WINTER WHEAT VARIETY DERIVED FROM POLLEN SPOROPHYTE

摘要: 46 green plantlets were obtained by inoculating the anthers of F_1 hybrids complicated combination ((Lovrin 18×5238-036) F_1×Hongliang No. 4) from wheat to medium N_6 in 1977. Induced percentage was 11.50%. After chromosome doubling treatment, 28 set seeds. Diversity morphological characters, growing periods and resistance diseases observed H_2 generation, which plantline for Jinghua 1 selected first time this year. Variety comparative regional adaptive experiments performed subsequent H_3, H_4,H, H_6 generations.The area planting amounted 7000 ha 1984. The evaluation passed Beijing Evaluation Committee.Jinghua is a high yield quality new variety. It resists strongly leaf, stem stripe rust powdery mildew possesses good adaptation.The development took only 7 generations, among 3 years spent hybridization selection superior line, 4 seed multiplication, trials performance tests. example showing that pollen breeding takes much shorter than traditional procedure.Problem superiority haploid anther culture discussed paper.
