摘要: Abstract This paper is a description of the historical development, current status and prospects for urban climatology, field concerned with study effect on atmosphere application this knowledge to better design planning cities. Urban areas have profound overlying air as result changes nature surface cover (urban form) emissions heat, water vapour materials that attend human activities function). Whilst these been well known observed over 100 years, it only recently climatology has developed coherent structure organising so observations can be conducted models are transferrable from place place. In paper, I give personal perspective history vantage point its standing. addition, suggest some pathways may take in near future.
