摘要: Purpose To determine whether sclerosis of the laryngeal cartilages was a predictor poor outcome in patients with stage T3 glottic cancer treated radiation therapy. Materials and methods Thirty-three underwent computed tomography (CT) before Twenty-two posttreatment CT. The presence cartilage sclerosis, erosion, marrow invasion, necrosis determined. Results Nineteen 33 had at Seventeen single (14 arytenoid, two cricoid, one thyroid), adjacent (arytenoid cricoid both cases). Of 17 isolated disease controlled therapy alone 15 salvage laryngectomy two. Both arytenoid died their original despite undergoing early laryngectomy. 14 without eight no evidence disease, four intercurrent disease. Conclusion can be cured
