摘要: Objective: To examine the influence of geographical and seasonal factors on duration solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure skin to produce recommended vitamin D levels without producing erythema. Design setting: An ecological study using daily Ultraviolet Index (UVI) data collected in major population centres across Australia for 1 year (1 January - 31 December 2001) calculate sun times production Main outcome measures: Sun either serum concentrations equivalent an oral intake 200-600 IU/day or erythema people aged 19-50 years with fair (Fitzpatrick type II skin) exposing 15% body. Results: In January, Australia, 2-14 minutes three four per week at 12:00 is sufficient ensure fair-skinned body exposed. However, can occur as little 8 minutes. By contrast, 10:00 15:00, there a greater difference between time that levels, thereby reducing risk sunburn from overexposure. From October March, around 10-15 15:00 should be enough levels. Longer are needed April September, particularly southern regions Australia. Conclusion: Our reinforces importance existing protection messages summer months throughout able obtain short periods unprotected face, arms hands outside peak UV period (10:00-15:00) most year. The variability during winter, means optimal advice tailored each location.
