Preparation of Pt/CeO2/HCSs anode electrocatalysts for direct methanol fuel cells

摘要: Abstract Hollow carbon spheres (HCSs) were prepared through a simple hydrothermal method using silica particles and glucose as the template precursor, respectively. HCSs used supports for platinum catalysts deposited with cerium oxide (CeO 2 ) application anode in direct methanol fuel cells. The composition structure of samples investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) photoelectron (XPS). electrocatalytic properties as-prepared oxidation cyclic voltammetry (CV). Pt/CeO /HCSs catalyst heated at 550 °C 1 h exhibited best catalytic activity oxidation.
