Writing Across the Accounting Curriculum: An Experiment

摘要: To improve the writing skills of accounting students, we developed a structured effectiveness program across three junior level courses in major: tax, cost, and financial accounting. Writing counted for approximately five percent grade each course professors discussed grammar, sentence structure, word choice. A consulting expert on also con tributed to program. We tested results our empirically through both pretest/posttest design control/treatment group comparison. The provide evidence that curriculum project significantly improved students' skills.
