摘要: Unlike the established models for steroidogenesis in rat and human, we have previously demonstrated that turkey progesterone (P), androgen (A), estrodiol (E) are primarily produced by granulosa, theca interna, externa cells, respectively. In present study, experiments were conducted to further characterize steroid productions these cell types during follicular maturation. Experiments 1 2, granulosa cells internal respectively, from larger (F1) fifth largest (F5) preovulatory follicles incubated (1 x 10(5) cells/ml) with ovine luteinizing hormone (oLH) or porcine follicle stimulating (pFSH) 5 hr. Granulosa production of P both was stimulated response oLH, basal LH-stimulated greater F1 than smaller F5 follicle. No A E detected either size tested. Theca interna oLH F5, but not F1, levels F1. Medium content non-detectable cultures all Experiment 3, 10(6) follicles. The seventh (F7) pooled provide substrate(s) steroidogenesis. alone combination without pFSH.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
