摘要: During the past 25 years there have been many attempts to detect a possible dust ring around sun, with contradictory results. Before 1991 eclipse, infrared eclipse experiments used single-element detectors scan corona along ecliptic for excess surface brightness peaks. The availability of relatively large-format array now provides considerable observational advantage: two-dimensional mapping and polarization high photometric precision. path included high-altitude Mauna Kea Observatory, further advantage measure out large angular distances from sun. Results are reported an experiment conducted on HgCdTe-array detector sensitive wavelengths between 1 2.5 micrometers, using broad-band J, H, K filters. Although sky conditions were not ideal, H- K-band brightnesses clearly show inhomogeneous structure in K-corona elliptical flattening F-corona, but no evidence circumsolar, local component 15 solar radii.
