摘要: Therapeutic jurisprudence (TJ) is an orientation to decision-making that attracting interest amongst some judicial officers and courts. A TJ approach emphasises the quality of interaction between individuals who appear before them, which enhanced by direct engagement, empathy communication. Drawing on a national survey Australian magistrates, this paper shows many magistrates are concerned make difference operation courts those use them. Magistrates identify qualities values associated with as important aspects their work or characteristics good magistrate, regardless whether they explicitly consciously adopt orientation.
