摘要: The paper begins by placing the emergence of drug treatment courts within context rising property crime rates, development open-air illicit markets, and rise in opiate overdoses Australia. then highlights way which U.S. concept was adopted adapted state politicians attempts to deal with drug-use-related offenders. This response has been specifically targeted at repeat offenders “at risk” imprisonment, comes broad brush harm minimization strategies for diverting a problem away from traditional criminal justice imprisonment. prospects future Federalist system are also discussed.
