摘要: The effect of intravenous lidocaine in the treatment persistent cough occurring after diagnostic bronchoscopies performed under general anaesthesia was investigated a controlled clinical trial. study comprised 28 adults patients, all whom had regained consciousness anaesthesia. Fifteen patients were treated with (1.05 mg/kg body weight) and 13 placebo (saline). In each patient intravenously injected dose repeated once 5 min. 11 15 (73%) who received coughing ceased, while it continued group. difference is highly significant (P less than 0.001). None developed side effects such as hypotension, arrhythmias, central nervous system symptoms or respiratory depression injection lidocaine. It therefore concluded that man safe useful cough-suppressant.
