摘要: Eurycoma longifolia, also known as Tongkat Ali, is popular in Asia due to its aphrodisiac properties. The root extract exhibits cytotoxic, anti-ulcer, antitumour, antipyretic, antischistosomal and antimalarial activities. This work focuses on the development of experimental design find a set optimum process variables for water extraction longifolia roots. A two level full factorial has been successfully employed generate linear regression model (solvent raw material ratio, time particle size) with eurycomanone yield response. was statistically significant R2 0.98; residuals are normally distributed. factor that presented strongest influence solvent-to-raw followed by time. interaction effect between ratio size this model. validity analysis limited at 100°C an agitation rate 400rpm.
