摘要: During the last few years genetic modification of microorganisms to improve their biological control plant pathogens has created some very interesting results, which indicates that molecular biology can be used not only understand mechanism behind control, but also biocontrol ability. It is, however, important remember in most strains, ability disease will explained by more than one mechanism, and host for ecologically fit environment where is performed. Modification a may result an improved ability, give unexpected effects. The effect new or modified agent must therefore carefully determined empirically each host-pathogen system. There public resistance against introduction genetically organisms into environment, probably slow down agents many countries. So far are on market, e.g. deletion mutants A. radiobacter strain K1026 (Section 25.3.3) Ice- mutant P. syringae 25.3.6), plus protoplast fusant T. harvanum 1295-22 (Bio-Trek 22) 25.2.2), with great demand alternatives chemicals protection it expected soon become commercially available.
