摘要: An analysis is made of the diffraction effects produced when a plane wave incident upon an irregular diffracting screen, and results are applied to problem reflexion radio waves from ionosphere which in horizontal plane. The nature screen assumed be given terms variation electric wave-field just beyond it that variations occur over one direction only. It further 9random’ sense assembly all differ each other, but have statistical properties common, deductions about patterns averaged assembly. shown many aspects can investigated by use theory ‘random’ electrical noise as developed Rice Uhlenbeck. angular spectrum (Fraunhofer pattern) Fresnel pattern described their spatial auto-correlation functions, there some discussion related method dealing with problems completely determined screens. In part II paper ‘fading’ exhibited returned discussed two models fading movements centres ionosphere. temporal function amplitude irregularly signal velocity ionospheric centres.
