摘要: Ninety-five patients with bilateral carcinoma of the breast treated mastectomy (60 patients), conservation (17 or both (18 were studied. Cumulative five year local control rates for 138 mastectomies was 94 percent and 52 conservations, 90 percent. Distant metastases appeared in one-third but one-half them occurred beyond 60 months. distant disease-free survival rate measured from treatment second 74 Second carcinomas diagnosed at significantly earlier stage than first carcinomas--28 I compared 43 (p < 0.05). recurrence-free metachronous better then synchronous carcinomas, this difference can be attributed to overall staging carcinomas. The interval between diagnosis had a profound effect on outcome carcinomas--cumulative within years 58 95 more after carcinoma.
